Mr. Harvey was the first three time state champion and the first known to have come from outside the Omaha area. He wrestled in the second state tournament held in the basement of the old coliseum in Lincoln. He was crowned champ at 125, 135 and 155. He was undefeated in his high school career. He captured these titles in 1929, 1930 and 1931. He also recalls wrestling in the basement of the coliseum one afternoon and then going upstairs to watch his hometown St. Paul win the Class A basketball championship that night.
