Yambor |
Bob wrestled for Omaha South and laid claim to consecutive state crowns from 1942-1944 at 85, 95 and 112 pounds. His freshman year netted a silver medal with three season losses and he finished his remaining high school career with a perfect record. Yambor competed for UNL and earned Big 6 and Big 7 Championship honors his sophomore and junior years and earned fifth in the NCAA in 1948. He did not compete his senior year as he was in the armed services.
