Sidney

Beginning a star-studded career as a Sidney sophomore, Kyle became Sidney’s only three-time state champion. His three year record was 71-3. He was also their third “two timer”, a three time conference champ, and a two time district champ. Kyle was also the first Nebraska high school wrestler to win in international competition by defeating the Japanese National Champion as the Japanese Exchange Team toured. Kyle earned another jewel in his crown by placing fifth at the USWF National Freestyle Tournament. Wrestling for the University of Northern Coloraso his freshman and sophomore years brought home titles from the UCLA Invitational and the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Tournament, the New Mexico Inviational, and the Midwest Regional Tournament.
